Cupid and Psyche - 2026

My idea was to take the sculpture ‘Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss’ pose by Antonio Cannova and give it a delicious, kawaii twist.
It features a passionate strawberry and a fluffy dollop of cream in a dramatic embrace: because they’re the ultimate power couple!
To lean into the irony of the Neoclassical inspiration, I’ve placed them on a silver spoon resting atop a grand marble capital. It’s basically ‘high art’ meets a sweet snack.
